A Look Back! 29 S Coalter St in Historic Gospel Hill
Queen City Concepts acquired 29 S Coalter Street in March 2015, and restoring the home took a bit over a year from start to finish. One of our biggest projects ever! If you remember seeing that enormous dumpster on the side of S Coalter for months, that was us!
a huge renovation -with amazing results
To say the home was in rough shape was an understatement. Along with 31 S Coalter St, this property stuck out like a sore thumb on one of Staunton’s busiest downtown streets. Vacant, with peeling paint, exposure to the elements, and a basement that looked more like a dungeon than a living space!
Restoring this home was a full-time project and every detail was meticulously realized. The home is now a gem – boasting a fully functional basement apartment and an upstairs living space rivaling some of the great Staunton homes, the home in total has six bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms. Brand new HVAC, modern appliances, two upstairs balconies, two-story deck, and a privacy fence enclosing one of the largest yards you can find in such close proximity to downtown.
staunton revitalization
As a company, one of our primary goals is to revitalize homes that might have gone otherwise unoccupied or unfinished for many years. We love Staunton and having the opportunity to help beautify it is one of our greatest joys. 29 S Coalter has been one of our biggest accomplishments. We’ve attached some before and after photos for you to check out, and we think you’ll love it as much as we do!
(P.S, we list both the upstairs and downstairs unit on Airbnb, so come visit us sometime at The Landmark, Gospel Hill, and The Hunker Down, Gospel Hill)
